Dog Training – Proofing the ‘Tunnel’ command
May 14, 2010 dog training
www.sitmeanssit.com In this daily dog training video, we are showing how to ‘proof’ a tunnel command. We are assuming that the dog already knows how to go through a tunnel, and can do it at a decent degree of efficiency. This is just another imaginative way for the dog to stay focused on the behavior task at hand. Tunnels can be used as part of agility dog training, or other types of obedience used by trainers. Also to be noted in this video is the fact that because of the distance involved, the dog would be capable of seeing the toy before he got to the tunnel and would further his chances of just avoiding the tunnel and going right to the toy. The dog is released with a ‘tunnel’ command so that he knows to go through the tunnel, or whatever similar command that may be used by the handler.

Dog Training – Great first lesson for 2 small dogs
May 11, 2010 dog training
www.sitmeanssit.com In this daily dog training video, we see a great transition in both the owner, and the 2 little dogs that she owns and loves that is going to make her life much easier. She learned how to confidently handle the Sit Means Sit remote dog training collar pretty well for her first lesson, and should have her dogs off leash around distraction in no time! She also saw very clearly that she could give the dogs all the commands she wanted previously, but until we have the dogs attention, most words are pretty meaningless.

Teaching a dog to stop in water
May 4, 2010 dog training
Obedience, play and exercise are all a very good combination for a dog on a warm summer day. In this daily dog training video, we show how we can implement a whistle to have your dog stop what he’s doing, even in the water. The purpose of the whistle is that the dog may be too far out for you to be able to reach him by voice, and it’s a distinct command that means to stop and sit to my dog, so it’s noise can easily carry over other things that are around. You can learn more about Sit Means Sit dog training for your dog, or to become a Sit Means Sit trainer yourself and stay ahead of the field for dog obedience, behavior and other things by going to: www.sitmeanssit.com You can also purchase the ‘Sit Means Sit Whistle’ at our online store as well.

Dog park training – How to put the other side of fence to use
Apr 24, 2010 dog training
This dog training video shows how you can use the other side of the fence at a dog park, in order to introduce your dog to all the other dog distraction around, but yet still putting yourself in a position where you can have more control of your dog. Sit Means Sit dog training believes that being able to stop your dog remotely from you in an unpatterned environment, such as a dog park is one of the strong foundations of any good dog training program. In this video, only simple commands such as ‘sit’, ‘down’, and ‘stand’ are used. www.sitmeanssit.com To become a franchise see www.franchise.sitmeanssit.com
